We had a visit from Moses, our excellent farrier the other day to take care of some trimming and check a little chip in Hallie’s hoof. Both the horses were on their best behavior for their pedicures, and had happy feet by the end of the session. It bears repeating that the Baja desert sand is great for hoofs… strong and healthy feet, and both of the horsies can be barefoot.
I need a good farrier and vet asap. Does Moses know of someone RELIABLE AND TRUSTWORTHY AND EXPERIENCED in Ensenada? I am south of Ensenada, La Bufadora/Punta Banda, about 20 miles. Or does Moses come this way? My 30 yr old, healthy until recently, Arab is now having all kinds of problems. Chewing(and ive had his teeth done twice in the past 2 weeks, still balling up the hay), feet (i’ve had two farriers in the past 2 weeks, 1st one, not exp enuf…feet have chips, flat, raises, bumps, thrush maybe????, second one didnt file or anything just made some concoction and lit his hooves on fire!!! literally!!! also..my horse passed stones (enteroliths), which i have done my h.w on now, but NO ONE else around here knew what it was..they ALL thought he ate rocks!!!!! i need a GOOD experienced vet!!!!! thank you if you can help.
