Endurance racing is a worldwide sport that has yet to make it to Baja…until now. There will be a 25-, 10-, and 5-mile race.
Competitors must present their horses to the veterinary team on the 8th to confirm readiness to race and record “normal” vital signs. The horse and rider will be checked again the morning of the race. For the 25-mile race, there is an extra veterinary check. At the 10-mile mark, the horse will only have a set amount of time to return to “normal” heart rate and respiration and prove soundness before continuing.
